30 Days of Diemond Dies Project #1

          I too will be having a giveaway here on my blog. Dee, the owner of Diemond Dies, was very gracious to provide me with dies to use on my projects so I thought I would share the generosity. I will be passing along some of the dies I featured in my projects along with some other goodies I am adding.           Whew! Now that I have filled you in on all the details, lets get onto my project and the products I used.

          For today's project I made a scrapbook layout for my daughter's scrapbook. I started with a sheet of 12x12 Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid paper for my base. I cut the watering can out of aluminum foil, then made the flowers by using the pretty petals flower die to cut several layers and sizes. I then used a tool and a foam pad to help shape them for a more natural petal look. I layered and offset a few of the different sizes to make each flower look more dimensional. Popped a mini clear rhinestone in the center for a little pop. For the 5 blue square picture mats I used the Cross Stitched Square dies to cut Recollections Dreamy Cardstock and then used the fluttering butterflies dies on some scrap cardstock to make those pretty butterflies. My most favorite part of this scrapbook page is that adorable frog! To make the frog I used a combination of the Monkey Buildable Dies and the Teddy Bear Buildable Dies. I used foam dots to layer him up to look more dimensional and added some white gel pen highlights to his eyes and a black gel pen for his nose/smile. Oh, I also used distress inks on the flowers, butterflies, and the little froggie for dimension too. For the final touches I scattered Doodlebug Design Inc Glitter Sprinkle Dots randomly on the page and used clear Wink of Stella pen to add sparkle all over the flowers, butterflies, and frog.
